This country about the same size as the UK in the heart Europe is one a lot of us are quite unfamiliar with, but we think that is even more of a reason to go and explore it. Full of friendly people and a rich culture, as well as stunning natural scenery and good weather during the summer, Romania is waiting for you.
The Best Way to Spend Summer
If you’ve made your way onto this page then you probably have the itch to travel and a love for the world, as well as all the amazing people that call it home. Our summer camp in Romania is a brilliant way to satisfy your need for adventure for the summer, and gives you the opportunity to do so in a safe place with likeminded people who will become you new friends.
Sowing the Seeds of Success
What did you do this summer? Travelling abroad to help shape the minds of our world’s future will certainly impress your future employer more than moving back in with your parents and pulling pints at the local. Working at our Romanian summer camp develops a whole host of workplace skills that will set you up for any career you may choose, may that be in teaching not.
What Will I Be Doing?
Fun is the name of the game at camp. Your role is more as a leader than a teacher as you guide children to complete activities they enjoy and are engaged with, the twist is that you communicate with them in English as much as you can. Building strong relationships and having a good time is your number one goal, but when you are doing things that are so much fun, it’s hard not to. With the backdrop of the gorgeous Romanian mountains and forest, sunny memories on warm days will be made and never forgotten.
A normal day will start with breakfast and some exercise during the morning routine, which is then followed by morning ‘classes’. This will involve you leading a small group to play games, practice a mime or some drama, have a debate, learn a dance routine, and much more. You will plan and prepare for these activities, but don’t worry, you will be supported by senior staff members on how you can deliver exactly what they want.
In the afternoon you may go on a trip, a hike, play some music, sports, games, or do some drama, arts and crafts. The possibilities are endless and sound like so much fun. Your job is to bring the energy and get all the children involved. This is also your chance to use some of your unique skills and passions, the camp leaders would love it if you could share new things with the children.
But the excitement doesn’t stop after you’ve eaten a delicious Romanian dinner. Evening activities may include a disco, a karaoke or traditional dance night, a talent show, and of course there’s always stories around the campfire.
And you don’t have to worry about your accommodation or food throughout camp, that’s all provided. This means you can focus on being the best version of yourself, keeping the energy up and making sure the children are having a great time. Camp lasts five weeks and there are several that take place throughout the summer, so you can pick which one suits you best. Get in touch for more information on the start dates of each camp.
