What Will I Do at Camp?

You’ll be teaching what you know – if you’ve graduated in a subject such as art, psychology, law, or anything else that’s taught at camp, then that will be what you teach. We think this is a fantastic opportunity for you to share your knowledge and embrace your passion. Please reach out and let us know what it is you have skills in and we can let you know if it’s something the camp would be interested in.

You could be teaching English – if your degree isn’t in a subject that’s taught at camp, don’t worry. Your teaching experience qualifies you as the perfect person to work with international students, to help them gain confidence in their language abilities. But unlike in classrooms abroad, the classes at camp are small and students really want to learn. This enables you to make a real positive change.

You’ll be part of a fantastic team – you won’t be at camp alone, instead, you will be surrounded by other like minded young people who you can go on the journey with. From teaching tips to after class activities, your colleagues will be by your side. It’s a brilliant way to make friends and create bonds that last much longer than camp, it’s a very social choice and a great way to spend your summer. You will be supported by experienced managers and always have kind and understanding people to turn to if you need help.

You’ll teaching brilliant students – they may have flown over from China or be from up the road, regardless of this, the students at camp are brilliant. They are focussed, driven, and excited to be there. It’s your job to give them the best summer possible, and we’re sure you’ve got what it takes. After the hard work in the classroom is finished, you will have the chance to play games, do activities, and have plenty of fun together. Helping students progress and develop whilst having a great time is a real honour.

You’ll be working in incredible places – the opportunity to stroll around the University Oxford, or have a cuppa next to the river in Cambridge, is something that most of us will never have. Well, you do. For the summer, you can live like students and professors at these institutions of British education have for centuries. If you are excited and interested in visiting these brilliant cities and historic schools, camp is the perfect way to do that, whilst getting paid and having a great time.

You’ll have everything provided for you – when you’re at camp, you won’t have to worry about paying for lunch or extortionate rent prices. Boarding at some of the most famous universities and schools in the world is not only a real privilege, but at camp, it’s free. And all the teaching is hungry work, but there’s no need to get out your wallet, all your meals and snacks are provided without you paying a penny. All dietary requirements are catered for and the food is delicious.
